Big E Thrane & Thrane Danish Everest Expedition 2000.

The first expedition comprising only danish climbers scaled the highest peak in the world in the spring of 2000.

6 very experienced climbers experienced two exciting months on Mount Everest or Big E as it is called in the states. Two of the climbers reached the summit in a year where many expeditions turned back unsuccessfull

The expedition was filmed and documented primarily by Bo Belvedere Christensen (in the picture), but also by the other climbers

One book about the expedition was published shortly after the expedition (in danish language): "Everest - drømmen og sejren" on JP forlag.
Recently the diary including a lot of fine pictures has been published - also in danish language. It can be purchased on Bod (the publisher)
